A noble and round voice, Gianluca Buratto is rapidly establishing himself as one of his most versatile basses of his generation. His recent engagements include: Bach’s B minor Mass with Savall in Madrid and Barcelona, both Mozart and Jommelli’s Betulia liberata with Muti in Salzburg and Ravenna and in Wroclaw under Rovaris; Mercadante’s Virginia and La Bohème at the Wexford Opera Festival; Ambrosini’s Il Killer di Parole (world premiere), La Bohème and Rigoletto in Venice; Mozart’s Mass in C minor KV 427 at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome with Nagano; Bach’s Johannes-Passion with Lopez-Banzo in Spain and Germany; Macbeth with Muti at the Salzburg Festival, Rome and Chicago; Solbiati’s La leggenda (world premiere) in Turin with Noseda; Le Nozze di Figaro (Bartolo) in Barcelona with Rousset; L’Incoronazione di Poppea (Seneca) at the Innsbruck Festival; La Bohème (under the baton of Chailly) and I Due Foscari in Valencia; Macbeth at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Rota’s Mysterium in Naples and Rome; Rigoletto at the Carlo Felice in Genoa. The young Spanish soprano made her debut in Barcelona as Norina in Don Pasquale, a role that she then performed under the baton of Riccardo Muti at the Musikverein in Vienna.In the past seasons she performed: La Traviata in Marbella, Haydn’s Lo Speziale at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, La Gazza Ladra (Ninetta) at the Rossini Opera Festival in Wildbad. She was Violetta Valery in La Traviata in Siena, conducted by Gianluigi Gelmetti; Lisette in Graham Vick’s production of La Rondine by Puccini at La Fenice in Venice; La Fille du régiment in Tokyo. She also sang Don Pasquale in Ancona under Bruno Campanella; La Cecchina in Bergamo under Stefano Montanari; Adelaide di Borgogna in La Coruña with Alberto Zedda; Petite Messe Solennelle with Gustav Kuhn in Lucca, Erl and Rome; Rigoletto in Corea with Deuk-Gy Kim. She recently performed Don Giovanni in Lucca; La Sonnambula and L’Elisir d’Amore in Malaga; Werther in Salerno and Sassari where she also sang La clemenza di Tito and Il Signor Bruschino; Il ratto dal serraglio (world premiere of the Italian version) in Vicenza; Help, Help, the Globolinks! in Palermo; Rigoletto in Cosenza; La Traviata in Spoleto and Ljubljana; Nabucco in Erl under Gustav Kuhn; a concert in Montecarlo and in Kazan. Future plans include: Un ballo in maschera at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste; the Bachiana Brasileira n.5 in Lugano; Massenet’sManon at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège.
Gregory Bonfatti - Felice
Won the "A. Belli "in Spoleto '91 and made his debut as Don Ramiro (La Cenerentola) with Bruno Aprea starting an intense activity that led him to the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the San Carlo in Naples, the Teatro Regio in Parma, the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Teatro del Maggio Musicale, the Paris Opéra, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. Gregory Bonfatti is in high demand for the funny roles such as Dr. Cajus in Falstaff, Arlecchino in Pagliacci, and Goro in Madama Butterfly (engraved by EMI with Antonio Pappano). He collaborated with prestigious conductor such as: Riccardo Muti, Daniele Gatti, Maurizio Benini, Gabriele Ferro, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Paolo Arrivabeni, Zoltan Pesko and Vladimir Jurowski.
Future plans include: Rigoletto in Hilversum and Le Nozze di Figaro in Toulouse.
